LTG 56 Skid Steer

This course has been designed to allow appropriately qualified and experienced (in line with the requirements of ISO7130:2013) RTITB instructors to set up and conduct Basic RTITB operator training and testing for a skid steer loader with a bucket attachment.

 

Candidates that successfully complete the training course and pass the test of basic operating skills will be certificated as skid steer loader operators. This course does not cover the operation of tracked skid steer loaders (sometimes called compact track loaders).

 

This course does not include training for driving a skid steer loader on the highway. All operations should comply with local legal requirements.

Skid steer loaders come in a variety of makes and models. Operational differences should be covered in specific job training.

 

 

By the end of this course, candidates will be able to:

 

• Identify and discuss the main parts of the machinery
• Discuss the risks associated with the machinery and the

operating environment, and how to control them.

 

• Manoeuvre and operate the machinery safely
• Perform a pre-use inspection of the machinery
