Alec Kidd
Senior Training Instructor and Examiner
Alec is Highland Training Solutions (HTS) Senior Training Instructor and Examiner. He is responsible for HTS Sales, Advertising, Promotion and coordination of the Instructors as well as training and instruction, running courses, undertaking course examinations to the very stringent RTITB, HSE and SQA standards.
Alec has come to HTS from a long career in the Fire and Rescue Service, where he gained a lot life experience, training experience and professional integrity on the way. He is a qualified and experienced HGV, HIAB, ADR, and Tanker Driver and keeps his hand in with regular relief driving with us for many of our customers, this diversity and multi vehicles experience makes him the ideal Training Instructor for our courses. Alec is also a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) and instructs on our ADR and DGSA Courses as well as advising companies responsible for Hazardous Goods Transportation, he is also a Transport Manager CPC Instructor and Qualified First Aid Instructor.

Bill Renny
Training Instructor and Examiner
Bill is a Highland Training Solutions (HTS) Training Instructor and Examiner. He is responsible for HTS training and instruction, running courses, undertaking course examinations to the very stringent RTITB and HSE standards.
His background was in the South African Army, where he was Gunnery and Logistics Officer and worked in many places around the world, gaining a huge understanding of first aid, logistics and training as well a vast life experience. He then spent time working at Glasgow Airport with Loganair in engineering and logistics. Bill has many years experience in the transport industry with many of those years spent as Yard Forman in the Building Industry supply industry, where he trained and operating a variety of forklift trucks and HIAB Cranes so his depth of knowledge with these types of equipment is vast. He is a very experienced HGV HIAB driver and Snow Plough Driver where he still keeps his hand in working for us.

Tim Stedman
Training Instructor and Examiner
Tim is a Highland Training Solutions (HTS) Training Instructor and Examiner. He is responsible for HTS training and instruction, running courses, undertaking course examinations to the very stringent RTITB, HSE and SQA standards.
Tim has come to HTS from a career as a tree surgeon and in the transport industry, where he gained a lot life experience, training experience and professional integrity on the way. He is a qualified and experienced HGV, HIAB, ADR, and Tanker Driver and keeps his hand in with regular relief driving with us for many of our customers, this diversity and multi vehicles experience makes him the ideal Training Instructor for our courses. Andrew Robertson
Training Instructor and Examiner
Andrew is a Highland Training Solutions (HTS) Training Instructor and Examiner. He is responsible for HTS training and instruction, running courses, undertaking course examinations to the very stringent RTITB and HSE standards.
His background was in farming, logistics and training working in the UK and Australia on 40 Tonnes Fork Lifts and HGV Driving, as well a wide range of agriculture and building site machinery. Andrew has many years experience in the transport industry operating a variety of forklift trucks and HIAB Cranes so his depth of knowledge with these types of equipment is vast. He is a very experienced HGV HIAB ADR driver where he still keeps his hand in working for us.
